Product & Shipping Strategies Upgrade

Starting in January 2020, you'll notice an updated look & feel, streamlined workflows, increased performance from new technology and an overall improved consumer experience start to roll out across WineDirect. We will make these upgrades gradually to all sections of the Admin Panel, starting with Products and Shipping Strategies.   • Products Updates:
    • Streamlined workflow enables you to manage all aspects of your Products through a single page.
    • Simplified setup includes help text throughout - great for seasonal or new staff.
    • Enhanced POS tools make it easy to setup and manage product availability in one centralized screen.

  • Shipping Strategies Updates:
    • Improved overview of your shipping strategies on a single page.
    • Quickly add states, provinces or territories to each zone with new search functionality, or easily toggle to select and deselect all.
    • Improved validation ensures that each state is only included in a single zone.

Future Initiatives

The next section we are focusing on is the Wine Club, because we know how critically important this is for your business. You can look forward to enhancements to User Choice Club functionality, a more personalized end-consumer experience and even faster club processing. Stay tuned for more updates in the new year!

Key New Features

In addition to our focus on strategic upgrades, we are also continuously releasing new individual tools and features, many of which come from your direct feedback via our WineDirect Ideas forum. This fall, we shipped our 100th idea inspired by your requests. Two key features coming up include:

  • (Beta) Multiple Email Addresses on a Contact allows you to add up to 5 additional emails to a contact to receive transactional emails. This is particularly useful for couples or friends who share club subscriptions, and was the #1 requested feature in our Ideas forum with 443 votes.
  • (Beta) Tip on Signature Screen combines the tip and signature on the same screen of your POS, simplifying the checkout experience and increasing the likelihood of capturing email address through digital payment and email receipt.

Must-Use Tools

Finally, to help you make the most of the busy fall sales season, here are a few features and enhancements that you can take advantage of right now.

  • One Click Offers: Automatically add products to the shopping cart via a unique URL that you can embed in an email or social media offer, perfect for holiday gift packs and special promotions. Wineries using One Click Offers increased their average order value (AOV) by 80%. Learn more.
  • Enable New Checkout Tools: Take advantage of a streamlined checkout experience by upgrading to our new tools - it will take you less than 5 minutes, with no design experience necessary. Plus, it’s required for One Click Offers. Get started.
  • Enhanced Ecommerce Tracking via Google Tag Manager is now available free of charge (previously $500), enabling your team gain access to deeper insight into how people are browsing and buying on your website, and where they may be dropping off.
  • Credit Card Updater now available to all US clients. Previously a Plus-only feature, now all wineries can take advantage of automatic credit card updates for wine club members. Available in the US to WineDirect Payments clients. If you aren’t yet using WineDirect payments, request a quote here. Already using our integrated payment solution?   • Chargeback management tools: A new benefit for WineDirect Payments users in the US that makes it easy to handle dispute resolution and is included with your subscription.
