OND is a hectic time of year for all of you - but with Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming up soon, you’re probably looking for a few quick wins that will help you work faster, smarter and offer a bit of a helping hand over the holidays.
Here are five tools you might not know about that can help you up efficiency, including some that we released this year.
1. PINs in Your Tasting Room
Looking for a way to reduce long lines and shorten the transaction time in your tasting room? With POS PINs, you can assign a unique PIN code to each tasting room staff member that they can use to quickly log in and process orders on your POS. PINs increase the speed of transactions because staff won’t need to type in a long username and password - only a 4-digit PIN.
PINs also brings improved security and tracking to your POS, making it easy for you to assign unique login credentials to each staff member instead of relying on one shared username and password. You can even keep track of sales by associate, commissions and tips as PINs now link to the appropriate staff member. In-app guided setup allows for easy PIN configuration so it takes seconds for staff to choose their PIN and get selling. Best of all - it’s free to use!

2. Utilize New Checkout Tools
Our new checkout tools give your customers the absolute best ecommerce experience, designed to make it easier than ever for your customers to buy wine online. These tools are designed to reduce abandoned carts and increase conversion rates, while providing your customers with a faster and easier checkout experience.
Guest checkout and Facebook login are speedy options for customers in a hurry. When customers are logged in, their known user data is pre-populated so that the checkout process is even faster. You can play around with the new checkout tools if you are a Domain Admin, easily updating your logo, colours and fonts (without the need to hire a designer) so that your checkout experience matches your brand. Only when you are ready to go live, you can Publish your changes and you’ll have a brand new checkout.

With a little bit of set up ahead of time, you can have action emails sending out automatically in the background - allowing you some awesome marketing tools that you can set and forget. It saves you a ton of time while boosting sales!
A great starting place for using action emails throughout your winery are:
First time buyer - Thank you for your purchase
Tasting Room visitor - Thank you for your visit
New Club Member - Welcome to the wine club
Recent Purchaser - Rate our wine
SKU specific - You recently bought Merlot, maybe you’d like to try our Cabernet
Three or more purchases - Invite to our exclusive wine club
Haven’t purchased in 3-6 months - We miss you
You can configure action emails in your admin panel by navigating to Contacts>Action Email>Action Email Setup. Action emails are free to use and customizable, learn how to set up action emails here.
4. Schedule Reports
Let’s face it - a lot of us don’t look forward to month-end reporting. We like crunching the numbers and seeing our sales - but the monotonous task of setting filters and running the same reports takes up a lot of our time. With this feature you can save reports for faster exporting and WineDirect Plus clients can schedule reports. You can either schedule a report to be delivered once on a predetermined day, or set them up on a recurring daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis. It ensures reports are delivered to your inbox with all of the numbers you need. Another time saver!
5. Freebie - Holiday Calendar
